The Gitzo GT2542 Mountaineer Series 2 Carbon eXact Tripod is aimed at professional photographers who own large digital SLRs with heavy telephoto lenses attached (such as a 200mm) and can hold up to 22kg in weight. The GT2542 carbon fibre tripod offers a maximum height of 167cm (with centre column extended), a minimum height of 15 cm for low angle shooting, and is able to close down to a portable 64cm. The Gitzo GT2542 is a 4 leg section tripod with new design and Carbon eXact tubes, making it lighter in weight yet more rigid. There is no head included with this tripod.
